As I mentioned last week it was my 30th birthday on the 5th July. Me and my fiancé had been talking about what we were going to do for it for a few months, before we bought the house we were going to go abroad but decided to scrap that idea to save some money. Most years we head to London for a few days for my birthday and that’s what we decided we would do this year as we have close friends there. I was so excited to have a few days away….but little did I know that Shah had a bigger plan and a trip to London was just a small part of it….
Wednesday 4th July
We woke up super early so we could get on the road by 8. I packed the night before, I had no idea what the plans were while we were away so ran all my outfits past Shah before hand to make sure I had the right kind of clothes (I always pack more than I need to just in case!).
We set off and arrived in London just before lunch. Dropped our suitcase off to our friends place and headed straight in to central London to grab some food. From there Emil (Shah’s best mate) said he had to go to work but could we meet his girlfriend Abi (Ramblings of a Blonde) off the train at a certain time and he would meet us later for dinner.
We headed to St Pancras station to ‘meet Abi’ …. this is where Shah surprised me and told me he was taking me to Paris for my 30th!!! – Emil then arrived with our suitcase, he was part of the cunning plan!
Arriving in Paris, we got changed and went straight out for dinner….where Shah then told me that he had booked for us to go to DISNEYLAND PARIS the next day!! BEST FIANCÉ EVER!
Thursday 5th July
Early start to make our way across Paris to arrive at Disney super early! I was buzzing! First things first, I had to buy some Minnie ears before we entered the park to get in the real Disney spirit!
We got to the park and OH MY GOD I have never felt so much excitement and happiness in my life! It was the most magical place on earth and EVERYONE was happy, smiley and skipping around with ears on! Seeing the castle was just something else, I felt like a little girl again!!
The whole day was just so special, even if I did nearly break Shah on the Star Wars ride! (Oops!) We walked for hours dancing, singing and just soaking up the amazing atmosphere!
6pm came around – it was parade time! I didn’t think anything could top the day so far but the parade was another level amazing! We had to leave after the parade to get our train back to London. It’s safe to say I don’t think anything will ever top that birthday!
I will defo be going back, we only got to explore one park so I really want to go again and go to both. Have you been to Disney? Was it as magical as you thought it would be?
