Makeup Brands I’m Yet To Try

Makeup is and has been a big part of who I am for the last 10 years and I continue to try new looks and enjoy every second of it. I would say I’m a bit of a makeup addict (I have over 20 eyeshadow palettes!), yet there are so many brands that I am yet to try! I have to say in general I sway towards drug store brands as I feel they have seriously upped their game recently and can really compete with a lot of the high end brands. Saying that I can’t help but lust over some of the latest releases, so I wanted to talk you through the brands I have never tried and the products I’m crazy tempted to add to my collection! The question is, are they worth the hype or the money!?

Okay, okay I know, how can NOT have tried HUDA when I’m this obsessed with eyeshadow palettes!? I ask myself the same question regularly! I have a few dupes which I love but my question is, are they worth the high price tag!?

HUDA Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

Their recent release of the Nudes eyeshadow palette which I’m sure you’re all very familiar with, as it’s all over Instagram, is absolutely beautiful and I feel like I NEED this in my life! I love a shimmer shade and this has 6 absolutely incredible glitter/shimmer shades that I am just dying to get hold of! I have heard some amazing reviews of this product but it’s £56! How can I justify £56 on a palette!?

Anastasia Beverly Hills

Another brand I see all the time and hear amazing things about is Anastasia Beverly Hills. There’s a theme here I know but eyeshadow palettes are my thing so they catch my eye the most! They have a few version of this palette in different colours but the Sultry palette is right up my street! The neutral brown and gold tones are stunning and I know I would use this A LOT! This one retails at £46 so still more than I’d like to pay but one I may just have to ask Father Christmas for!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Eyeshadow Palette

I’m also loving the Sugar Glow highlighter palette, what girl doesn’t like to glow! These 4 shades are so pretty! I’m always quite conscious of the shade of highlight I go for as I’m so pale but I can already tell I would use all of these! I have only been using highlight for the last 6 months or so but already have a fair few! This quad retails at £41 so I’m not sure I would purchase myself.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar Glow Kit

Charlotte Tilbury

When Charlotte Tilbury launched the Hollywood Glow I was so intrigued! At first I was so confused as to what it was! is it a highlighter? is it a primer? is it a foundation? All I knew was I wanted to try it and I still haven’t! I mean this is great advertising on their behalf as I didn’t know what it was and I still wanted it!! Retailing at £30 I could actually see me buying this, maybe not using it daily for work but as a luxury touch to my weekend or going out face. I love a matte finish to my makeup so I’m not sure I would use it as a primer (although I would have to give it a go to see if I liked it!) The glow that it gives as a highlighter is immense! Watch this space because it might make its way to my makeup bag soon!

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter

Have you tried any of these products or brands? Please share with my your thoughts and experiences as I don’t want to spend the money and it really isn’t worth the hype! Are there any brands you think I HAVE to try? I’d love to know your thoughts!
